Last night Daddy did a bit of babysitting and Mommy went out and let her hair down! Mommy and her friends, Chick and Mish went to a Jon Bon Jovi concert. Daddy and I hung out, had fun with dinner, bath, and books! I bought him the Cat in the Hat for his birthday....and he read it to me. I love special time with my Dad. He's the greatest....NOW BACK TO MOM! Here is Chick, Mommy, and Mish. They have been friends WAY longer than I've been a live. They traveled all the way from Connecticut to ROCK OUT TO BON JOVI!
The concert opened with DAUGHTRY. He did an amazing job getting the crowd pumped up FOR......
JON BON JOVI! There he is, right in the middle of the stage.
Richie Sambora did a fantastic guitar solo. What an entertainer!!!
Here is the band. They played all the oldies and some new music. Mommy should go to more concerts because she can hardly talk today because of all the singing she did last night. Looks like today is going to be a quiet day at the MIDDEKERS!

This is my friend, Baby Collin. He is so sweet! His Mommy and Daddy work with MY Daddy! Talk about a small world. Baby Collin came to house to celebrate my birthday. Look at that little party animal! Hey Collin, you little flirt :)
In the middle of all the celebrating and present opening, I turned around and gave Collin a big squeeze. Everyone that it was so sweet I was more interested in Collin than my presents! Wouldn't you be?!

Our visitors knew what house was ours because Mommy put up this pretty 1st birthday sign!
We had a Sesame Street Theme.
Grammy helped Mommy decorate my high chair.
Shusha made this FANTASTIC lasagna for our company!
We even had pretty balloons. After I ate my cake, I decorated them myself!

Shusha and Grammy came to visit me in Maryland for my birthday. Shusha came in on the 21st and Grammy came in LATE on the 22nd. I am very thankful they were able to make the trip here. I wonder if next year they will be able to come see me in Japan for my 2nd birthday?!Thank you for coming to visit me! I am so thankful to have such loving Grandmas!!!

Mom and Dad said that since it was my very FIRST BIRTHDAY, I could have some cake. They ordered me an Elmo cake. It was white cake with canoli filling, sounds good doesn't it?
Mommy and Daddy cut the cake for me because I am too small. They won't let me use a knife.
At first I wasn't really into my Elmo cake. Daddy gave me a bit to try. That's all I needed!
I dug right in! I had frosting in my hair, my ears, and every where else you can imagine! (click on my picture and see how much frosting didn't get in my mouth)

Today our Little Miss Kady Mae turned 1 year old. We can not express how fortunate we are to have this perfect, happy, healthy little girl in our lives. We are looking forward to many more birthdays as special as this one. We can only hope and pray that she will continue to adore us as parents....even when she turns 16 and we're not supposed to be cool anymore. Happy Birthday Kady Mae,
Love always Mommy and Daddy

A few fun shots!

Hello! This weekend Mom was doing a bit of cleaning for our upcoming company. Shusha, Grammy, and Uncle Jose are coming to town to celebrate my birthday (although, I've pretty much been celebrating it all month :). I was helping with the vaccuuming and dusting. We took a break and took some fun pictures. I'm pretty much a pro at walking now. I don't do much crawling. I love the stairs too, it freaks Momma out, but oh won't be the first or the last.
I love looking out the window and watch everyone walk by. We have a great walking path behind our house...I watch the walkers and Mason barks at them.
4 more days and it will be my BIRTHDAY!

Today was a big day for me. Mommy took me for my birthday present. We got my ears pierced! I got a pretty set of Amethyst earings. I sat nice and still! Here is the lady making a tiny mark on my ear. 1, 2, 3 we were all done! It was really pretty easy. I only fussed for a few minutes...Mommy said I was a real trooper.
Ta-dah! Don't I look beautiful!? I was ready to pay and get out of there!
I've got the keys, let's get hop'n!
Here I am! After we got my ears pierced we took a trip to Wal-Mart. What a fun day!

Happy Valentine's Day! Today we surprised Mommy with roses. Daddy picked up roses and delivered them himself to mommy when she was at work. She almost fell off her chair when she saw him walk in. What a wonderful surprise!

This is my Great Grandpa Toney Marguy. I usually see him in Connecticut, but when I went to visit Great Uncle Manny I had a treat! Great Grandpa was there too!Great Grandpa was giving me cuddles. I just love him! YOUR HOW OLD?! 91!!! No way, I don't believe it. 90 years older than me? No way.

Here are our hands. My hands are 1 year old and his are 90 years older.
I am having a hard time believe this man is 91. What do you think?!
Great Grandpa goes to the Senior Center during the week. The bus comes and picks him up right at the house. He spends the day there and gets lots of treats....and a bottomless cup of coffee I hear!

See you in the afternoon Grandpa!

Pop Pop took me a for a walk on Saturday. We weren't gone long, but boy did he tucker me out. Mom walks me nearly everyday and I NEVER fall asleep! I guess he had the special Pop Pop touch. (this is my pretty blanket Momma's friend Missy made, I take it everwhere I go!) Here I am showing Pop Pop how I can walk!
Like my keys? Guess what they go to?
My new ride! Thanks Pop Pop and Di! Lets go cruising!!!!
