ITTY BITTY BABY

I don't know if you remember...but last year I posted a picture of a Praying Mantis (http://kadymaebella.blogspot.com/2007/08/daddys-new-pet.html). Well, it looks like he/she had baby Mantis'! There are dozens and dozens of these little guys in the bush outside of our door! They are just amazing little bugs. I took this picture with my cell phone.....pretty good picture, huh?

MY FIRST TRIP TO THE ZOO

Today was my very first trip to the Zoo! Mommy, Shusha and I got up really early and took the Metro to the National Zoo in Washington, DC. Talk about a fun time....minus the suntan lotion incident (we don't need to get into that one).This is Mommy and Me.

This is a cow! Now that I know what sound he makes, it was nice to SMELL him up close.

KADY CLIPS

I've learned a few things in the past few weeks! I've mastered the stairs! Just call me Kyle Petty!


I've discovered my love of music.

I've learned to BUZZ like a BEE!

I've learned how to help Mommy with the laundry.

I've learned how to sign more.

One really cool thing is, I learned how to go to sleep on my own. Mommy puts on my music and I lay down and go to sleep. No rocking, no swaying, not patting my back....I don't need that anymore.....I'M A BIG GIRL!

MASON MIDDEKER

I would like to share Mason's HUGE accomplishment. This weekend he was awarded a very special certification. He has completed the Emergency Rescue Working Dog Course. This is a very big honor for our family. Daddy and Mason go to training 3 days a week and work VERY hard together. They are extremely dedicated to training and making Mason an asset to society. Here is a video of what Daddy and Mason have been working on. If you look really close, Mason is off leash! For those who have met Mason, THIS IS AN ENORMOUS ACCOMPLISHMENT!

MY BESTFRIEND

Here is my buddy Mason. He is a February Baby, too. We didn't always get along and had a pretty rough start. I guess he liked being the only child and having a sibling was hard for him to get used to. But now Daddy takes Mason to training 3 days a week and he's a whole new dog! Tuesdays are advanced obedience....Wednesdays are tracking.....and Saturdays are protection training. Mason has a busier schedule than I do! Mason is going to miss Applejack K-9 Academy when we leave....I think Daddy is going to miss it too.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT A COW SAYS? I SURE DO!

Every night before bed we all take turns reading. Tonight was my night. I picked my favorite book that Grammy gave me. It has all these great flaps with pictures of animals.

I am learning w many sounds animals make! So far I have mastered:

Honk Honk Honk for Geese This book is great!
This is my Mommy. I love her cuddles.

ROUGH NIGHT

Boy, did I have a rough night Monday night. I woke up around 0330 and just couldn't settle back down. Mommy and Daddy new something was up (besides ME, ba-dum-bum............anyway) because I never wake up at night. I am a FANTASTIC sleeper! Daddy tried to soothe me, Mommy tried to soothe me, then Daddy tried again. I finally fell back asleep...and as you can see by the clock behind Daddy's head.....we all had to get up for work shortly after I passed out. Needless to say Tuesday night was an EARLY NIGHT!Here is a picture of Mommy trying to wake me up.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Good Morning and Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommy's I know! Ya'll should have been at our house this morning. Daddy made his FAMOUS chocolate chip pancakes! He only breaks out the recipe during special holidays, like Mother's Day! Boy were they good. I didn't get to enjoy them quite so much last year. But as you can see below....I really dug in! Makes you want some chocolate chip pancakes....doesn't it!?
This is a picture of me 12 months ago. Think I changed any? I sure was SHRIMPY!

FUN DAY AT THE JUNGLE GYM

Hi! Today we did something VERY fun! We went to the Jungle gym! Follow me, I'll show you what we did during my ADVENTURE at the playground! Here we go....follow me over the bridge!

Daddy got in on the fun too! He was doing flips!
Here we goooooooooooo, down the slide! I have to say, this was my favorite part!
Up the stairs we go, it was the only way to get up to the slide. Lots of work, but well worth it.

LOOK WHAT I MADE FOR MY MOMMY

Sunday is a very special day for all Mommies and Mommies-to-Be. I would like to share my Mommies Day card with all the special Mommies and Mommies-to-Be I know. I hope you have a wonderful Mommies Day! I wish I could spend it with you all!

TAKING A WALK WITH MY DADDY

We celebrated Cinco De Mayo by going out to our FAVORITE Mexican Restaurant, Monterrey's. We finished the night with a nice walk. After Mommy paid the bill, she captured this great picture! Daddy and I were having Father-Daughter time. It really means a lot to me that my Daddy and I are as close as we are. It doesn't get any better than this.

POST BREAKDOWN

Mommy took this picture after my little 'I need a nap this very moment or I am going to scream and cry and take all the stuff out of your suitcase and throw it all over the floor' breakdown. I really wished she just put me down to sleep instead of grabbing the camera. I guess the expression on my face had to be put on film!Needless to say, Mommy put me down for a nap shortly after this picture was taken. How can you say no to these eyes?

SCWEWY WABBIT

After I went to sleep, Mommy couldn't find Daddy. She looked everywhere! She finally found him outside with Little John and Joe-Joe. Do you know what they were doing? WABBIT HUNTING! There are tons of Wabbit Families at our house. They are always hopping around and nibbling on our grass. So the Boys recruited my Dad into helping them. They had a box, a stick, some rope, and most important...LETTUCE! Think they caught one!?
