Thank God they don't stay in that stage very long! Be persistent with her. She'll get it eventually! I think this age is a tough time of parenting too. It is most crucial to be stern, until she knows you mean business! When I say stern, I don't mean mean. It's over and over you, Kristy and Alan, sticking to your guns when she is disciplined. Kids are actually very smart and when they know you can't be moved, they get on board. If I had to do over with disciplining my kids, it would look like this. I would confront them, oh and with out anger, ah! many of times i did this out of anger, you live and learn! I would say Kady you need to obey Momm/Daddy. Then point out to her, what she has done wrong, be it sassing back or whatever.... Then tell her to say I'm sorry and this may take weeks, but tell her anyway. If she says I'm sorry, tell her you forgive her and then bring the Gospel in, saying God has forgiven me many times too! As she gets older she will be able to ask God to forgive her and she will grow in love with God and know she has a purpose and that He loves her and wants a relationship with her. I guess what I'm saying is we get to parent them until they transfer that to God who is her real father :) Anyway, wished I had did this more with my kiddos! Praying she responds to you and Alan quickly! oh and with God too! love, aunt t
