LET'S EAT CAKE!

Mom and Dad said that since it was my very FIRST BIRTHDAY, I could have some cake. They ordered me an Elmo cake. It was white cake with canoli filling, sounds good doesn't it?
Mommy and Daddy cut the cake for me because I am too small. They won't let me use a knife.
At first I wasn't really into my Elmo cake. Daddy gave me a bit to try. That's all I needed!
I dug right in! I had frosting in my hair, my ears, and every where else you can imagine! (click on my picture and see how much frosting didn't get in my mouth)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OUR BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL

Today our Little Miss Kady Mae turned 1 year old. We can not express how fortunate we are to have this perfect, happy, healthy little girl in our lives. We are looking forward to many more birthdays as special as this one. We can only hope and pray that she will continue to adore us as parents....even when she turns 16 and we're not supposed to be cool anymore. Happy Birthday Kady Mae,
Love always Mommy and Daddy

A few fun shots!

Hello! This weekend Mom was doing a bit of cleaning for our upcoming company. Shusha, Grammy, and Uncle Jose are coming to town to celebrate my birthday (although, I've pretty much been celebrating it all month :). I was helping with the vaccuuming and dusting. We took a break and took some fun pictures. I'm pretty much a pro at walking now. I don't do much crawling. I love the stairs too, it freaks Momma out, but oh well...it won't be the first or the last.
I love looking out the window and watch everyone walk by. We have a great walking path behind our house...I watch the walkers and Mason barks at them.
4 more days and it will be my BIRTHDAY!

MY NEW EARRINGS

Today was a big day for me. Mommy took me for my birthday present. We got my ears pierced! I got a pretty set of Amethyst earings. I sat nice and still! Here is the lady making a tiny mark on my ear. 1, 2, 3 we were all done! It was really pretty easy. I only fussed for a few minutes...Mommy said I was a real trooper.
Ta-dah! Don't I look beautiful!? I was ready to pay and get out of there!
I've got the keys, let's get hop'n!
Here I am! After we got my ears pierced we took a trip to Wal-Mart. What a fun day!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Happy Valentine's Day! Today we surprised Mommy with roses. Daddy picked up roses and delivered them himself to mommy when she was at work. She almost fell off her chair when she saw him walk in. What a wonderful surprise!

GREAT GRANDPA MARGUY, MY MAIN MAN!

This is my Great Grandpa Toney Marguy. I usually see him in Connecticut, but when I went to visit Great Uncle Manny I had a treat! Great Grandpa was there too!Great Grandpa was giving me cuddles. I just love him! YOUR HOW OLD?! 91!!! No way, I don't believe it. 90 years older than me? No way.

Here are our hands. My hands are 1 year old and his are 90 years older.
I am having a hard time believe this man is 91. What do you think?!
Great Grandpa goes to the Senior Center during the week. The bus comes and picks him up right at the house. He spends the day there and gets lots of treats....and a bottomless cup of coffee I hear!

See you in the afternoon Grandpa!

POP POP

Pop Pop took me a for a walk on Saturday. We weren't gone long, but boy did he tucker me out. Mom walks me nearly everyday and I NEVER fall asleep! I guess he had the special Pop Pop touch. (this is my pretty blanket Momma's friend Missy made, I take it everwhere I go!) Here I am showing Pop Pop how I can walk!
Like my keys? Guess what they go to?

MY FIRST TRIP TO FLORIDA

As many of you may or may not know...I took my very first trip to Florida this month. I went to visit my Great Grandma Rose, Great Grandpa, The Marguys and Aunt and Uncle Egg. Mom had a lot to post and she told me she's been procrastinating (I don't know what the heck that means, but atleast she's doing it now!). We hope you enjoy my updates. I've been pretty busy. Here I am waiting for my plane. I was ready to get the show on the road. I had a lot of places to go and people to meet!
I am all buckled in. I was looking for my pretzles. The flight attendents always have the best snacks!
So, this is what Florida looks like. From this angle it kinda looks a lot like home!
I closed my window and was ready to start the trip!

MEET THE MARGUYS

I got to meet Great Uncle Manny, Great Aunt Colette, Cousin Katheryn, Cousin Julia, and Max. I waited my whole life to meet them! I got to stay at their house for 2 nights. Mom doesn't know where the time went because she didn't take nearly as many pictures as she should have. Thankfuly, we did get a few good ones in. This is Great Uncle Manny. Boy is he great alright! He knew all my tickle spots and had me laughing the entire time. He was super cuddley.
This is my cousin Julia. I was in LOVE with her. I just wished I could take her home with me. She took such great care of me. She helped feed me and even lent me her bedroom! Now, thats family!
Here we are the day we said goodbye. It was too short of a trip....I hope we can do it again sometime.

MY GG-MA

I finally got to meet my Great Grandma Rose! My Mom talks to her on the phone everyday. Mom told me that she loves her very much and I would love her too. At first I didn't believe in love at first sight, BOY WAS A WRONG! I love this woman! This is the very first time that my GG-MA laid her eyes on me. Could her smile get any bigger!?
I knew she was special because my head fit perfectly on her shoulder.

(thats my Great Uncle Steve in the background)
GG-MA got right on the floor and played with me. That's my kinda lady!
She taught me how to play Patty-Cake!
She even shared her lunch with me!

Before we left, GG-MA told me what Momma was like as a little kid...so I'll have tons of ammo when I get older. I really treasured my time with her.

I MET MY GREAT GRAMPS

Here is my Great Gramps. I got to meet him too! This is how he used to hold my Mommy. I felt right at home. Can you believe my Mommy was little before?
He taught me all about the belly button. He showed me right where his belly button was and showed me that I had one too! I had no idea!
I showed him how GG-MA taught me how to play Patty-Cake.
We played a few games of Peek-a-Boo, too!
This is a 4 generation photo! I tried with all my might not to pull on his beard :)

MEET THE EGGEMEYERS

This is Auntie Diddy. She has been a friend to my Mommy for a long time. WAY before I was born even!!! We got to bring our Florida trip to a close with her and Uncle Egg. Here is Nimitz. Mom said that he's Mason's friend!
We took a nice long walk together. HEY, isn't Florida supposed to be WARM!?
We saw this pretty picture of the moon on our walk. Look at the PALM TREES!
This was our last Florida meal. We ate at Sticky Fingers! Mom said they made the best cheese fries she's ever had!
